The Desert Inn is a reminder of early road trips. The room is sqeaky clean with wi-fi, fridge, microwave TV, and coffee machine. The service is friendly. A perfect stopover on a cross country drive. more

We arrived after dark in Mojave after a long, tiring day driving from Tucson. The Desert Inn was a little hard to find (we asked a couple of locals for directions), but once we arrived, the friendly, efficient manager quickly got us a room and told us to let him know if we had any problems or concerns. The room... more

We arrived early morning on Thanksgiving to a warm welcome, large comfortable clean room and GREAT shower. Added bonus - fridge and microwave in room, Wifi and a very comfortable bed. The owners take good care of the property and we'll be back soon!! more

We picked this motel on the basis of reviews here. Let's face facts this isn't a new place. I'm sure it has seen better days - BUT the service is great and the room was very clean. The ice box was very well stocked which was good. Mojave is a HOT place, really hot. I did struggle to sleep because... more

This hotel is GREAT! What else can I say? The people are VERY friendly and VERY attentive. I have stayed at many hotels and spent more money, but this is the best value for your dollar. The rooms are clean. The area is quiet. The service is awesome. No bug problems or hoodlums. The people her will not stand for... more

The Desert Inn is quite good for an old hotel, and is an excellent value. The rooms are small, but have all the important amenities (free WiFi, fridge, microwave, desk). The small bathroom was clean and had new tile (though a battered looking toilet seat). The maid service was quite good. It was disconcerting that the dead bolt lock was... more

We stayed in Mojave for a family renunion in North Edwards. A family member there siad he wouldn't stay in Mojave but if he did it would be at Days Inn or Mariah Country Inn & Suites. Of course those hotels are much more expensive. After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, I booked 2 nights at the Desert Inn and... more

Desert Inn is exactly what others travellers have said before - a "simple", "clean" and a "no frills" motel that offers great value for money. I checked in after a 7 hour drive from central Arizona. Check in was hassle free. Two minutes and I was in my room. Simplicity and efficiency seems to be the overarching theme here. The... more

I travel to mojave very frequently and in general all the motels are old inside out. most of them are across the highway from the train track. Looks like allthe train business is done at night where the booms and bangs of connecting and disconnecting happens and some trains blow their horns (I think deliberately) around 2 to 3 am.... more

As we drove into Mojave, we passed other properties advertising lower prices. We knew from TripAdvisor that the train noise was an issue with them. The Desert Inn is a few blocks from the main drag, and we never heard a train. The most important aspect of a motel is getting a good night's sleep and the Desert Inn delivered.... more
