The Colton Inn is a wonderful hidden gem in Monterey. Located not far from the waterside attractions, but within walking distance of downtown. Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, fireplace. This was actualy the last hotel on our trip to USA West, during September 2008. And actually it was the worst hotel. Strange.... we always use tripadvisor.com to help us find the right hotels and even now I see that the opinions differ very much.
