We were on our way from SF to LA and stayed at Monterey, CA for one night. It was the perfect spot for a brief stay and to check out the famed coastline of monterey/pacific grove and the monterey cannery row. We had 3 nights at the Del Monte Pines Motel and it was our first stay there. (But not the last.) The rooms are comfortable and very clean and I liked the microwave and the fridge in the room. I have stayed at Del Monte Pines twice now, and will certainly return in the future. It is clean,quiet, and quite close to downtown. At $66.00 a night, which is what I paid on my most recent visit, it is a real steal in a very expensive area. more

This is a well-located property. Rooms were clean, bathrooms newly remodeled and nice. The staff was available and accommodating.
