This is really a special place if you love antiques, spotless & comfortable rooms, great food, and a gracious hostess. We stayed 3 days/nights; great location for walking to Fishersman"s Wharf, Cannery Row (touristy), and Pacific Grove (like Martha's Vineyard). We were delighted to be greeted by a bottle of champagne on our arrival to celebrate our honeymoon. Our room overlooked the lovely garden and had a two person soaking tub- heaven! We spent a night of our honeymoon road trip at the Old Monterey Inn and were delighted with the whole experience from start to finish! The customer service was excellent, as were the snacks provided and the yummy ample breakfast that was brought to our room! This was a lovely place to stay. There were snacks and drinks available at all times. You were able to choose to have your breakfast in-room (which we did). The beds were very comfy and the staff was all super friendly. It was pretty close to downtown, but in nice and peaceful surroundings. We had a great time! more

We arrived after the normal check-in hours of 7pm, but we had called to let them know we would be doing so. They had left all our information and keys for us with a beautiful fire going and champagne truffles alongside a tawny port. Stayed for 4 nights during the month of July with friends. We were greeted at the door by Maddie when we arrived and she quickly made sure that we felt welcome even though we were early.
