Like all upscale hotels in Monterey, this one is expensive during the summer months. In the off-season, it's a fantastic value. Because this is a somewhat dated property, the price appeared to be a good value because it was walking distance to the aquarium, Cannery Row, and Fisherman's Wharf. I did not get a chance to really take in all this place had to offer, but it was extremely convenient location. I was in walking distance to all the downtown restaurants and bars. Just a couple of minutes and I was able to enjoy the farmer's market. Free breakfast was nice too. more
