The staff at this hotel was excellent. Eric was really good about places to go and see. He knew his way around the city which a lot of hotel staff don't always know. The other staff was just as friendly as him. I wish all the staff at hotels were just like this one.

The middle aged guy at the front desk was a tad grumpy and offensive "people who make reservations on Expedia are idiots". Breakfast included stale muffins along with typical continental menu. “Nice clean motel with an excellent location”

We stayed at the Monterey Downtown Travelodge last weekend and enjoyed it very much. Our room had recently been remodeled and was clean and roomy. We had a new flat screen T.V. The location is right in the center of town and a short walk to Alvarado street. Oh yea, free breakfast is nice too.

We stayed here for one night and i have no complaints. The hotel isn't really anything to look at but it is clean, offers a complementary breakfast and has free parking.
