The main issue is, there are many places to stay when visiting Morro Bay, and one of them should NOT be the Blue Sail Inn. I for one will not be stayng at the Blue Sail ever again. I stayed here with family over easter. All together we had three rooms and it was a cute find. We could walk to shops, restaurants and they had covered parking. We stayed at this place after we fled another inn in Moro Bay. It is fairly clean and reasonably priced. It's an average motel and is a good value for the money. Staff was accommodating as we requested a room change due to the perfume/disinfectant smell in the room we were originally given. We would probably stay here again. more

Website painted a pretty picture and booking on the telephone the receptionist seemed pleasant enough. We were driving up from La Jolla and were due in very late. On the phone, they let us know where we would find the keys and we found the place okay and checked in. Rooms were cleans and comfortable and the bathroom was okay.... more

Excellent accomodation in a fantastic location. The view from the balcony was amazing. We only stayed one night but wished it could have been longer. We arrived early but the room was soon ready for us, they were just putting new chairs in which looked great. The Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again. more

What a great little town to stay in for the night on our journey up the coast to San Francisco. Spotlessly clean motel if a little frayed at the edges, huge room, nice bathroom, great view of the rock (if the tree could be cut down!). Dorn's restaurant right next door with superb fish and chips and famous clam chowder.... more

We just returned from our California vacation. Fell in love with the Central Coast and Morro Bay. The Blue Sail Inn is right next door to Dorn's restaurant..which everyone says has great food and it does have a wonderful breakfast.
