There is nothing to do in Morro Bay, but if you have to stay here, this is a decent place to stay. The rooms are fair for the price, however there is nothing to the continental breakfast. It is in the very tiny lobby. The hot tub area was closed for whatever reason. more

There is nothing special about this place, but having stayed at that horrible Travel Lodge up the block the year before, I was thrilled it. The room was clean and the managers were helpful and friendly. The rooms were very quiet and I never heard anything from anyone below or next to us. The jacuzzi did have a slight green... more

stayed one night here with friends, hotel was very clean and a one minute walk to local amenities, there are lots of lovely restaurants and gift shops, the bay area was very quiet when we visited and most of the restaurants only serve food till 8-9 ish, and it's not that easy to get a beer either after this time... more

Clean but rather small bedroom. Comfortable but softish bed. Basic breakfast but reasonably adequate. Some traffic noise in the morning. Nice bathtub. Stayed 1 night. more

Luckily only stayed one night! We had been advised that Morro Bay was worth stopping at so booked into Tradewinds, Best Western. Morro Bay was not worth the visit as cafe/restaurants were untidy and food wasn't great. The hotel was extremely basic and luckily the Best Western we went on to stay at were far better. Place reminded me of... more

We stayed four nights, and used this as a homebase as a reviewer suggested. The Bed is really nice and eveything, everywhere was clean. They have a gardner that maintains all the flower pots daily, all different, with the names of each. Best dinner was the Galley for Seafood. Worst was Great American Fish Co. The Dockside was best for... more

We hold an annual golf tourney in Morro Bay and we used to stay at the Day's Inn. Good thing they said they were booked a couple of years ago because this place is much better. The rooms are unique, with different styles available. Also, the service was very good. The GM of the property -- Monir Ahmed -- went... more

We stayed here due to price and the fact that they had renovated the rooms. Check in was easy and the grounds were fine. If you don't mind stairs, stay upstairs, but away from the spa. We heard the motor running in our room, even though it was 2 doors down from the spa. Stay on the far side of... more

Pulled into this motel because it looked well cared for with flower boxes etc. The owners/managers have done a good job considering the design is old-school motel. It's very convenient with only one block to the waterfront. Rooms appear to have been recently renovated and while not large are well designed and have all the expected amenities. The managers (owners?)... more

Read the other reviews and decided to give this place a shot. Let it be said that I am not a big fan of cheaper hotels like Days Inn and Best Western as a rule. However, Morro Bay doesn't have anything above this level and so we chose the Best Western Tradewinds by the good reviews here. Ended up really... more
