-The Front Desk person was nice, but knew nothing about the Mt., vortex's, legends, the main attraction of Mt. My father and I were up in Shasta to summit the mountain. When we first arrived to town, we stayed down the road at a horrible place -- I think it was called A1 motor lodge. On the way back and forth into downtown shasta we kept passing the Woodsman, and it just looked like a wonderful place to stay.... more
