The grounds were lovely and well kept, but our cottage interior was seriously outdated and threadbare. The bathroom was actually very clean and seemed fairly new, as did the linens. But the old sofa and carpeting were a little depressing. For my money, I'd look into the several other cottage options available in Nevada City before I'd stay here again. more

Maybe the rooms vary widely, but we had an excellent stay in a clean, warm, cosy double bedroom cabin called Ruby with space for 6 people to sleep and a small kitchen - all for about $160 a night including breakfast. This palce is very nice,even though it need's a major makeover and proably some new staff. Room's are very outdated and as clean as they could be, towels and carpets need replaceing and so does some of the pictures on the walls.
