Apprehensive having read some of the reports, however overall I was very impressed. We had the kids and the double bedroom option made for a great stay. As you would expect the rooms and the bed were first class - looking tired in places but not that it spoiled the stay. We like the touch of a washer/dryer laundry room... more

Really a great hotel - with only one mediocre thing to say about this place - and that is that i had to call the front desk 3 times to get a second robe in my room. Otherwise the good stuff includes: 1. Huge rooms - mini suites location actually 2. Great deals on the wknds (only $95 was my... more

Stayed at the W Silicon Valley for one night in July 2008 while in town for business. I paid my company's negotiated business rate of about $170 per night for the room. This is kind of a strange location for a W hotel, which is branded as a hip urban hotel chain. There is really nothing else around it except... more

Stay: February 17 - February 20, 2007 Room: Cool Corner Suite Upgrades: Welcome Gift, Late Checkout Comments: It's a little late coming, but thought I should comment on our stay here. After the communication difficulties we experienced (among them, attempted to sell me on inappropriate materials for our stay), everything went fine once we were there. Front desk clerk was... more

we stayed here for the night before my brother's wedding. i've stayed at a lot of W Hotels, the nicest being San Diego and Chicago South Loop. so i always hold the W in high regards. The Silicon Valley/Newark W Hotel is hidden in the boonies. so you'd think that it would be rather nice and updated due to the... more

The W brand goes for chic, trendy and tries to create a "vibe." Successfully I might add. When you walk in it feels different from other hotels. The lobby is referred to as the living room and is quite comfortable. Alot of people hang out there. The bar and restuarant are right there as well. As for the bar, very... more

I stay here occasionally on business due to it's location. I haven't been here for a year, and it looks like no one is keeping the place up. The service is friendly, but they don't seem trained in promptness. Hopefully the hotel will clean up soon. Overall I was disappointed this stay. more

Great hotel, good bar and a nice restaurant (albeit on the expensive side). Overall a very pleasant stay, did find the front desk a little clueless (also wanted to photocopy my ID which I wouldn't let them). Room was very clean and spacious, plenty of parking and a perfect location if you like peace and quiet at the days end. more

My husband and I stayed here a few years ago and had a pleasant stay. When we arrived this time, I saw that the facility had become rundown a bit, the flooring is scratched up in the entrance, but more importantly, the room had a chair with a big gross stain, there was food under the table, stains on the... more

Spacious rooms, nice furniture, great rainfall shower head, nice bathrooms, pool area is cool. All W's are a cool spot to stay at. I grew up in the area and was staying here the night before my wedding. It isn't in a big city setting, it's in Newark, Ca. But who cares, the W is a cool spot. The lobby... more
