I took three buddies here on a sportfishing trip in May that left from Newport Beach. It was great! We caught our weight in fish and had an excellent time. The hotel was clean and comfortable, plenty of nightlife in the local area and the bay and the beach were just steps from the front door. Mike, John, and myself... more

We spent one night on the Newport beach, which was a beautiful experience, most of the family's first view of the Pacific Ocean. The management of the hotel is very friendly and accommodating. The property, although older, has been renovated with nice artwork and is spotlessly maintained. It is a block one way to the marina and a block the... more

I loved my stay here and the staff, especially Clay, was very accomodating and helpful. I would truly recommend the Bay Shores Peninsula Inn to anyone. It felt more like I was in a nice, comfortable bedroom instead of a hotel room. Awesome! more

When my wife and I wanted to spend some quality R&R time with some friends on the coast, we wanted some place that was priced reasonably, was really close to the shore, and had the amenities that we are accustomed to. The Bay Shores came up in a search in the area we wanted to stay and after checking out... more

My family booked a celebratory trip to NB and I booked this hotel over the phone. I was looking at the family suite photo on their website and told the guy that is what I wanted. Bay view, kitchen, room separate from the kids (the most important part) the room on the web is fabulous, and I told him I... more

As owner of this hotel I would like to say that this reservations error was an honest mistake by one of my employees, and I apologize for the inconvenience and misunderstanding it caused. However, I would also like to say that contrary to this guest's comment, "bait and switch" tactics are NOT our policy. We are a small, family owned...

I've held back writing a review of the Bay Shores Peninsula because I was pretty ticked off after my husband and I stayed there. I wanted to see if time, and additional travel experiences mellowed my unhappiness with the customer service the hotel provided but, frankly, I'm still annoyed. My husband and stayed at the Bay Shores Peninsula hotel for... more

We stumbled upon this hotel quite by accident and they were able to accomodate us without a reservation. The price was average for a hotel in that area. We were given a corner room on the second floor which had a lovely view of the ocean. The room was pleasantly decorated with a wonderful pillow top matress for a great... more

My wife and I stayed a week at the Bay Shores Peninsula hotel visiting our daughter's family and our new granddaughter. Bay Shores helped make our stay a wonderful experience. My son in law, a local, was as impressed as we were. Thanks to the hotel staff's recommendation he now knows a nearby honest auto mechanic that repaired his old... more

We would heartily agree with the previous reviews. The BSP is a unique hotel in a great location with a really nice vibe. This was our fourth stay (we discovered it by accident in the days before Trip Advisor) and it never disappoints. Friendly staff, well appointed rooms (where else do you get surfer wallpaper in the bathroom?), comfortable beds... more

My husband and I just returned from a four night/five day trip to Newport Beach and I am so glad that we chose this hotel. First, this is a small, quaint hotel that is very well-kept and clean. The service is outstanding as well as the location - just 2 blocks from the beach. We loved it. The room was... more
