Rented this house for a week during the summer of 2008. While the St. Malo community itself is lovely, quiet, gated, great private beach, miles of walking on the beach, etc. , this particular property has some things about it.

First, when I inquired about renting this, I did a Google Earth search of it and noticed that the train tracks appeared to be quite close to it - across a lagoon. When I inquired of the owner's agent about this she advised me that it would present no problem because it's way across the lagoon. WRONG! The commuter train runs at all hours of the day. It is SO loud that you can't hear the t.v. when it runs through. While it does not run at night, it doesn't stop until around 9-10 at night and begins again at about 6:30 or 7.
