We stopped at this 'lodge' after driving from SFO. We were told we were getting the last available room and the woman at the counter seemed bothered we didn't have a reservation. As I was walking through the lobby 5 minutes later with luggage, a couple came in and the same woman told them she had 'one room left'. She... more

This was our second trip to the Pt. Reyes Seashore Lodge. We went in August, 2007 and stayed in the Audubon Suite which was two stories tall with a sitting room below and the sleeping area in a loft above. We returned this March with our 2-year-old son and stayed in a Fireplace room on the second floor. The rooms... more

The grounds are nice though much smaller then the pictures make them appear. The Lodge is right on the road so there is traffic noise. The desk staff was not very friendly - simply professional. The beds are too hard though the rooms have a nice feel to them. The rooms are not as charming as the online photos imply.... more

We stayed here over the holidays. It was a really fun getaway. Loved the pool table and our room had a deck overlooking the backyard which had a pathway to the park. Hiked in the park and came back to a nice jacuzzi tub with bubble bath! Not a place for the gadget-dependant person - no TV or cell service.... more

After leaving nearby San Francisco, we came across Olema and this little Hotel completely by accident. It was early evening and there were alot of people checking in so we had to wait a few minutes before we were seen to. The lady at reception was aware of us waiting and was friendly and efficient. We had no reservations as... more

The positive comments we can make about the facility would be that the breakfast was decent, the staff helpful, and the grounds lovely. After that there is very little positive to say. Our first indication of something amiss (after the expectations developed from relying on the website), was the discovery that the property is located right on a busy highway;... more

Management response from
Lodgekeeper, Manager

For curious readers: The lodge is only 20 years old and was built very solidly (after all, we are near the epicenter of the 1906 Earthquake). We have 'round the clock maintenance and managers available to assist guests with any need or problem - all you need to do is ask or phone for assistance and we are happy to...

We stayed at the lodge for one night and had originally planned on spending a full two days in the Point Reyes area. We arrived early in the day and went to the Visitor's Centre and then ate lunch at the restaurant next door to the lodge. Our lunch was quite good, but a bit on the pricey side. We... more

The rooms here seemed very nice. Our room had a fireplace, which was very nice. The view out our window was excellent - a great place to watch the sun set. You can walk out of the hotel and hike a little ways on a nice trail to get to the Pt. Reyes visitor center. more

My husband and I were in CA on vacation from Kansas. We stayed in the area for 5 days. I did all the research I could online and came across the Lodge. Their website was lovely ~ picturesque. While in CA we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in San Francisco, Holiday Inn Express in Sebastopol and Embassy Suites in... more

We took advantage of a winter 3-nights-for-the-price-of-2 special and enjoyed our stay here very much. We stayed in Room 16, a fireplace room on the 2nd floor. The view was tremendous, looking westward across a creek and meadows directly at Mount Whittenburg in Point Reyes. Definitely get a 2nd-story room for this view. The room was large and comfortable with... more
