We could not lock the door from inside the room, so our toddler kept wanting to let himself out. Having stayed in the Tahoe area many times at many different places, I can safely say that Redwolf in Squaw is a new favorite! Booked through ResorTime... everyone extremely kind and helpful. They have received numerous awards for service and quality... and they certainly deserve it. It's not the Ritz but great value for the cost. The cost is significantly cheaper than the other accommodations nearby and in Squaw Valley. The rooms are clean and well kept. This is a small hotel and you are pretty much on your own here. There is no concierge or spa, no restaurants, room service etc... but it is so worth it for the amazing price and location. You are 100 yards away from the Village @ Squaw valley so EVERYTHING you need is there. Restuarats, Bars, Massages, etc... The views... more

As far as Tahoe area condos go, our unit at the Redwolf Lodge in Squaw was one of the nicer ones we've stayed in. Our one bedroom was large, clean, and nicely decorated (however, the furnishings were definitely hotel quality in that they weren't very comfortable, but were designed for durability). Just got back from my honeymoon at the lodge. The place was incredible. Free bikes, coolers, backpacks; a true no worry place. They also have movie rentals and every week publish a activity list to make sure you make the best of your time. We stayed in studio room with a murphy bed. It was very comfortable and spacious.
