This place was absolutely dirty when you walked in there was a strong odor of cat urine not only in our room but in at least 3 other rooms, not even Lysol spray would cover up the stench. We wanted to stay in Orick so we could explore the redwoods and not have to drive too far. This was our only option. The owners are perfectly friendly, but the motel itself is very dated. This is still one of the only places you can stay on the west coast and enjoy the peace and quite surroundings as well as all the sites to visit nearby.
