The cabins are spacious, decorated with comfortable furniture and homey decor. The pictures (including the elk in grazing right outside the cabins) and the "what's included" list of amenities are all accurate. The cabin is outfitted exactly like a high-quality timeshare, with thoughtful extras like phone cards, a barbecue, insulated coolers for picnics and a first aid kit. The group did a good job thinking through what a family would need after a day of hiking or exploring. There is no cell phone reception nearby...we had ATT, Verizon and Sprint, with several phone models...no service until we hit the small town 2 miles south. The satellite service also had hiccups quite often, so we didn't watch much TV. You also want to plan meals in advance, because the nearby town is very small, and the grocery store's selection of perishables is not good. (Trinidad, 15 minutes to the south, is the closest place with a good grocery store.)
