Stayed here for just one night to re-qualify as an HHonors Diamond, taking advantage of a cheap net direct rate. My expectations weren't that high for my first Embassy Suites stay, and I suppose I got what I paid for. The beds were fine and the AC worked well in over 110 degrees of heat. After reading the reports on... more

A friend and I were traveling in May 2008 and decided to see the desert area of California. We happened upon the Embassy Suites Palm Desert and found what I would consider a true oasis in the desert. The hotel was undergoing a renovation but even with those distractions it was easy to see what the facility had to offer.... more

We booked two rooms at this hotel because we've always loved staying Embassy Suites. However, this is probably the worst Embassy Suites we've ever stayed in. The common areas were pretty run down - the paint on the floor and the banisters are peeling off. The restaurant at the hotel is terrible - the server was brand new, and it... more

Our family LOVES the desert this time of year, so overall we had a wonderful time.Regarding the Embassy Suites, it had some positives and some negatives. We usually stay at Marriott Shadow Ridge, but had an opportunity to stay at ES. Positives: the rooms were newly refurbished with granite in the bath and vanity areas, the rooms were nicely appointed, beds... more

I have stayed at this hotel many times for business. I would say I have been here around 15 times in the last year and a half. Here are the pros and cons. PROS: The property is beautiful, and very well maintained. The Restaurant is very good, a little expensive, but very nice for a business traveler. The breakfast is... more

The Good: My wife and I booked the ES Palm Desert because of its pet friendly accommodations. The hotel was very receptive to our pooch upon arrival. Many staff members walked up to us to greet us and to meet our doggie. The hotel also offers dog walking if the owner shall desire. The cooked to order breakfast was very... more

Spent four nights at this hotel for a seminar, and was disappointed. Usually, an Embassy Suites is clean and modern with good service and a great staff. This hotel clearly was old, run-down and in need of repair. Ironically enough, they were in the midst of renovating rooms while I stayed there. The construction mess and noise was not fun... more

We have stayed at this Embassy Suites a couple of times. This is a very reasonably priced place to stay, with a lot of extras for the money. The rooms are very nice suites, with a separate living room and small kitchenette! The free breakfast is the best I've ever had at any hotel. You can haven anything from the... more

The Palm Desert Embassy Suites hotel is well-placed. A low-rise building built around a pool. The rooms, away from the road (Highway 111), were very quiet. It was easy to walk to eateries and bars nearby. Our disappointment centered around the work to the pool being done during our visit. Although we did not expect to swim, the refurbishment impacted... more

Embassy Suites are typically all the same: Huge, blocky buildings with a center atrium. This is a converted Spanish-style, two-story, multiple building hotel with exterior hallways. The scale is nice, even though I had to walk a long way to reach the breakfast (served in a building on one end of the compound). The rooms are pretty average for an... more
