Inn Exile and Warm Sands Villas were bought by a straight couple. Inn Exile is now Inn La Joya and it is a relic of its former self. Clearly, the word has spread quickly as the place was nearly empty, even on the weekend. The new owner (Mo) seems very nice, but there are way too many negatives about this... More

I've been a long time, dedicated/loyal guest at Inn Exile. While the resort certainly became run down compared to previous years, I always enjoyed the beautiful and spacious grounds, the three pools and "some" of the night time activities. New management is determined to turn this place around which sounds great, but my first (and LAST) visit under this new... More

The Inn Exile used to be a beautiful resort. Now, however, it needs some sprucing up. First the good. It's a very large property with three pools and several hot tubs. The room we stayed in was very large with a separate bedroom. Everything is kept quite clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The not so good. Everything... More

We are staying at Inn Exile right now. We have been coming here for years and have always had a good time. The Inn was sold last month and is under new ownership ... The "movies" they used to show at night in the courtyard are GONE. The king size bed under the stars is GONE. The music is something... More

I agree with the other reviews that the rooms are gross! I too had stayed in previous years. I thought it was somewhat dirty then, but it's worse now. I also washed the tile floor and the bathroom. So gross I didn't want to walk on it. Other than the room being somewhat gross, I found staff to be very... More

Where to begin??? The toilet that wouldn't flush? The bathtub that had a serious bathtub ring on check-in? Dirty floors in our room that were never swept or mopped during our 5 day stay? Faded, dated upholstery on the chairs in our room? Stains of unknown origin on the bedside lamp shades? The electrical socket that pulled from the wall... More

We've stayed at Inn Exile dozens of times in the past and always loved it. It's been more than 5 years since our last visit, so we were eagerly looking forward to our return last month. Based on that stay, we'll never go back again. The bathroom was absolutely filthy - after two days we bought our own Ajax and... More

"WHAT A DUMP." My late partner and I first came to Inn Exile the season it opened, and it was dazzling. The owners were incredibly helpful, the place was spotless and new, and it was a wonderful stay. We visited every year for quite a while. At my last visit, the place exemplified everything that would be expected at a... More

About a decade ago, Inn Exile was a smart and sassy if somewhat louche place catering for gay men, but now it is just louche. After a very long trip to get there, we were met as an interruption in the life of the manager at the desk, perfunctorily shown around and dumped in our room. (I should note that... More

This place is definitely a "no" thrills hotel, but is great for those seeking to be in the center of the "warm sands gay action". The rooms are outdated, but common for the area. It is not super clean, but is passable. The grounds are kept up nicely, but the hotel shows it's age. The ac works well, and the... More
