I love staying at this Motel 6. I stay every year for the festival. The staff though it seems to change is always nice and helpful and always willing to go out of their way to help. The rooms are wonderful but the bedspreads could be updated. This Motel is wonderfully close to everything. I love going shopping in downtowntown.... more

Palm Springs ain't the swingin' get-away it used to be; I'd always envisioned it the way Sammy, Frank, Dean, and Lucy & Desi saw it, but those days are gone. The small downtown area is still nice, with sidewalk restaurants, galleries and the like, but outside of that it is somewhat sketchy. I wouldn't recommend driving through downtown if you... more

Have stayed here several times in the last 10 years, but after this last visit, we won't go back. If you are just looking for a party base, this is a fine choice. But for families or people who actually want to swim, sleep, lounge, etc., forget it. The facility and rooms are fine, if a little worn out. Pool... more

I had selected this motel after reading several reviews about the good ratio quality/price. Other travellers were right: This is really a good deal in Palm Springs, and close to the main streets. Rooms are clean, although small. Air conditionning not noisy. But towels are a little bit old. Staff quite friendly. Free coffee at the lobby as usual in... more

Arrived at this property after pre booking on line. The guy behind the desk asked for ID so I showed him my airline security ID. He needed a licence. I told him that, to get this airline ID, I needed to go though more Police and FBI checks than he could imagine. "We MUST have a licence". So I went... more

Stayed at Motel 6 at 660 Palm Canyon Drive New Year's Eve because we made last minute plans to visit the area and all of the hotels we con tacted were full. Got "lucky" at this Motel 6, they had a cancellation. I typically avoid this chain due to bad experiences in the past, but this location is very close... more

You simply cannot beat this hotel for the money. $55 a night? In Palm Springs? In walking distance to all of old Palm Springs? And no parking fee? WOW!!! I have stayed at this hotel probably 5 or 6 times, when I needed a one night stay. This is the deal here.....throw out all of your stereotypes about a Motel... more

PROS: If you can handle a bit of a walk, it's just on the southern border (a few blocks) from the main shopping/restaurant district (about 20 min. walk/ 5 min. drive to the Spa Casino). This is especially important if you intend to indulge in some fancy desert libations or wine w/ a good dinner. For this price, it's clean,... more

The downtown Motel 6 has a super location...located at the south end of town but within walking distance of the casino and all the shops/restaurants of the village. There is even a Starbucks two doors down. And the prices are unbeatable BUT there are some problems and they have gotten worse the last few visits: the pool and jacuzzi are... more
