we stayed in this hotel on a last minute notice, we were told one price. at the time of check in they wanted to charge me $20 extra dollars for a party that was going to happen at 2am and I had NO INTENTION of attending. They agreed to dismisss this extra charge and voided the first transaction. they re... more

- the room was descried as a "Deluxe King" NO DELUXE HERE - I called them in the evening to say I was running late. I was told the room number, the room will be open and keys in the night stand... and please don't wake us up? - When I arrived no place to park - Upon entering the... more

The Desert Moon is a gay hotel which sits at the beginning of the Palm Canyon strip in Palm Springs, conveniently located next to the popular gay night spot, Toucans. I have stayed here three times over the last year and a half, wanting to like it , and hoping it had changed from the previous stay. It has had... more

I undertand that there are problems sometimes. (The jacuzzi couldn't be fixed during our weekend and that was a BIG bummer.) But overall the experience was great. When we had a problem, they tried to fix it. Some of my friends expected higher amenities but as far as a gay guesthouse , this one is fine. The rooms were remodeled... more

It started off bad and didn't get much better! They charged our credit card three weeks prior to the arrival date and basically held our money hostage. Upon arrival, the staff member that checked us in was shirtless and there were dogs running around the lobby. There was also a half empty bottle of vodka on the front desk! This... more

The website states: "Desert Moon Resort offers 24 beautifully appointed rooms set amid lush landscaping and a large heated pool and invigorating spa." We found a dirty room that was missing a fridge and in disrepair. Another review said this was basically a 50's style motel. That review is correct! The spa was cold. The landscaping was non-existent. The pool... more

As a former Hotel owner I am very impressed with the service I received at the Desert Moon Resort. My room was spacious, well appointed, and had a great view of the pool. Mr. Weiner and staff went out of their way to make my visit an enjoyable experience. I can't wait to go back, I now have a new... more

Everything to do with this experience was a nightmare. I booked six nights on their package which included a free massage with every three nights booked. So that meant I was to receive 2 massages. Whomever had the audacity to name this place a "resort" should be ashamed of their misrepresentation. This is nothing more than a typical 50's motel... more

I was supposed to stay three nights. I left after one. The room had not been cleaned, there was food left over from the guest the night before. The owners dog followed me into the room and began rooting through the trash. The heat didn't work and the hot tub was broken. I left the next morning and went to... more

I booked Desert Moon because its website describes it as a "resort and spa" with "beautifully appointed rooms". When I arrived, I found: no bathtub, no bath products (except some cheap bars of soap), no closet or armoire, no coffee maker, no dresser, a thin blanket and pillows (were they foam?), and a loud difficult-to-control heater, which left the bathroom... more
