For $482.67 per night for their casita (which included resort fees and taxes) I think this hotel needs a major overhaul in customer service. Here is why (CONS): — Whenever called (twice), no one picks up the phone. Both times, we had to leave messages and no one bothered to return our calls. — We got in late at 9.30pm... More

I don't like being mislead by great reviews for a totally poor hotel, I am totally perplexed.. Here is why: The arrival was an awful start with poorly trained staff. The reception staff member told us that our room wasn't ready at 3.15pm. I asked when our room was likely to be ready... His answer: Check in isn't until 4pm.... More

I feel I need to preface this review: not every resort can earn a five star rating, and those that do need to have spectacular dining facilities, robust wine cellars, state-of-the-art amenities, and uncompromising service. I have noticed hotels can rate highly on this site because they compare well with their peer group, for example, they might be clean and... More

It was extremely pricey. The service by the pool was non-existent. We even rented a cabana for $100 and by the end of the day both breakfast and lunch dishes were sitting there. People reserved chairs all day by the pool and then didn't show up. They should remove belongings every 1/2 hour or so.

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away from the city for a couple days. After a lot of research and wanting to stay somewhere not too big, and not too small, we decided The Colony Palms was the right choice. The hotel has a lot of history with some famous people and that added to the charm of the... More

Went on a Saturday night stay and it was packed. Very romantic location, nice pool area and very nice at night. Now the downsides, small rooms, really hard to get around, the pool chairs were all full all day, no way to get in. People camp there all day. The price was high for the rooms and the property is... Stayed here in April MON-THU nights. 4 nights of R&R, good service, good food, friendly people, and just a 5-10 minute walk into town. The place wasn't crowded, so there was always room at the pool. Free coffee available at the pool in the morning, and always cold water by the pool. The pool and jacuzzi are open 24/7, so... More

I have never had such a sub par experience as I did at the colony palms. Just on basics alone: it's claustrophobic, no views, no outdoor space for the rooms, no dressers in the rooms, nowhere to sit in the rooms but the beds. So based on that alone, not a huge fan. As a so cal resident I go... More

The hotel is beautiful, secluded feeling with a Spanish/Moroccan type flare. The rooms are nicely decorated with very comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. When you come here, you are really coming for the pool because it is wonderful salt water pool with a great view of the mountains. At the pool you really feel you are not in the city... More
