My wife and I just had our second stay at the Shilo Inn and Suites in Palm Springs. For the money, I think it is incredibly hard to find a better place anywhere in the Palm Springs area. The rooms are large, with separate bar area with coffee service and a fridge, and ours was very clean with nice towels.... more

Stayed over the 4th of July and the place was out of control with loud young kids. No security around as the kids that looked like gangs of guys that were smoking and drinking in the pool. Room as spacious and clean. Coffee maker,microwave,small fridge & free internet. Close to downtown and shuttle was available to take us downtown and back until 10PM. Room overlooking pools, one for adults and second for families. Also, enjoyed mocha coffees, cookies in the afternoon and very nice continental breakfast. We stayed over the weekend and granted it is the start of summer with more people traveling but the hotel was short staffed and no management around to over see problems at the pool areas. The hotel bedding was thin, not to mention needed replacing. A member of our group refused to call it anything besides "the dump".
