First, the hotel is undergoing renovations. The lobby is almost complete and it's not bad. The receptionist was friendly and check-in was quick. After getting my key, I had to enter the hotel from the rear parking lot (construction) and it's not very pretty. The elevator did not inspire either. After searching for a hotel room on several different sites, The Palmdale Hotel seemed a good choice. They still had rooms available, the online pictures presented a very nice and clean hotel, and they were reasonably priced at $98 (for a double queen). They also were offering a full complimentary breakfast. Their website says they are newly renovated. I decided... more
