The beds were so old they sagged in the middle -- very uncomfortable for two people. The AC was off when we entered the room at 11pm--it must have been near 90 degrees. It took hours for the room to cool off. The man at the front desk was so unfriendly that he could have been a character in a... more

Friendly front desk, clean and tidy rooms. Breakfast was simple pastries with coffee. Great value but you do get what you pay for. Old property and definitely a musty smell. Would stay again if the price was right. Near interstate but seemed to be in a good part of town, across the street from Pasadena City College. more

I got this hotel from Hotwire and it's a disappointment. The overall place seems outdated. As soon as I enter the room I was immediately greeted with the stale old smell. The staff is fine, furnishing is ok, and everything is reasonably clean but it's hard to get pass the smell. Definitely looking for another hotel tomorrow. more

Staff was friendly and the cleaning crew was visibly attentive (they were scrubbing the stairs during our visit). Beds were comfy and our room (3rd floor, back side) was quiet - there were units close to Colorado St. - I'd avoid those due to street noise. Nice toiletries. We stayed in a family suite which had a fridge, microwave and... more

I stayed here for the Pasadena Marathon (the one canceled in Nov) and in March when the marathon was held. We had the best service, the morning staff took the time to put breakfast out two hours early for the runners. The check in was smooth. The housekeeping staff was great, when I got back from the rainy marathon she... more

The staff here is excellent! The person who booked my room and those I dealt with were friendly and helpful. I decided to ride the Gold Line to downtown L.A., and was told exactly how to get to the Allen station (though it was 2 blocks further than the staff told me). It's a great trip and a great convenience... more

This motel was built in 1957 and hasn't been updated much since. Our room was outdated and we could hear our neighbors moving around upstairs. The continental breakfast was just fine (mini-bagels, pastries, cereal) and they had wireless internet. Nonetheless, it's charming, clean, and if you get a top (third) floor room facing the back, it is quiet. Many buses... more

What we wanted was a nice, quite, clean place near the Huntington and that's what we got. True, the staff is not the friendliest. As a matter of fact the woman I booked with was very terse. The young man that checked us in didn't wow us with charm but he was fine. The woman that checked us out was... more

I found this motel in a travel book and looked at the reviews on Tripadvisor which seemed to be positive. I went online and the room for a king was $92.00. I ended up calling the hotel directlly to ask if the Huntington Botanical Gardens and the Metro were in walking distance of the motel. The answer was that they... more

We're from Europe and we have visited LA staying at Saga Motor Hotel for three nights. The room was spacious and clean and the price was right (100€ per nights, in a queen room, august). The staff was nice: I had a problem in understanding the faucets (don't laugh, in Europe is diffrent) and they sent me a man to... more
