We're from Europe and we have visited LA staying at Saga Motor Hotel for three nights. The room was spacious and clean and the price was right (100€ per nights, in a queen room, august). The staff was nice: I had a problem in understanding the faucets (don't laugh, in Europe is diffrent) and they sent me a man to... more

We had booked 2 and a haft months in advance. we were supposed to have a pool side room (written on our internet reservation voucher) We got a room on the parking lot. The window was old and broken and did not close. We had to ask twice to get the discount on the bill according to the special rate... more

I stayed here on a business trip and later learned I could've stayed at the better alternative (Westin) but it was too late. Anyhow, if you are looking to save $, then this is ok...otherwise: -booked non-smoking room but they gave me a smoking one. But they quickly changed it to non-smoking. -room had a nice little business nook and... more

After reading all the mostly "above average" and "excellent" reviews on TripAdvisor, I decided to check in to the Saga and am getting ready to check out for the week. (I'm working on site at a client location just seven minutes from here. The Saga has spared me the three-hour daily round trip even from my mom's place in West... more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Saga. We chose the Saga Hotel because it is nostalgic and the price was right. The service was great, the room was very clean and the pool was nice and relaxing. They offered a continental breakfast that was sufficent. They really look after the property and the staff are all so friendly. We... more

We loved it! Old fashioned 1950's style motel with metal door key, and friendly staff that has worked there for decades. (be sure to give Asst. Manager Ray your sports page when you are finished -- he really appreciates it.) Nice warmed swimming pool, fresh fruit with continental breakfast, free washing machine, located right on bus line. AND the price... more

I chose this property on the recommendations here and was not disappointed. The staff was pleasant and efficient. The metal room key was a journey back in time, but the room was nicely decorated and spacious (I had a king) and everything was clean. Room was quiet. Office had coffee and continental breakfast, including USA Todays in the morning. I... more

Enjoyed stay here. Older motel, but clean and well maintained. Located directly across from college on Pasadena's main street. Pool comfortable warm temperature surrounded by landscaping. Room clean, comfortable and quiet. Good water pressure and hot water in shower. Nice breakfast - oatmeal, dry cereal, English muffins, pastry, fresh fruit, etc. We paid $82 for 2 double beds for one... more

We arrived for a two night stay over the President's Day weekend. The hotel is directly across from the Pasadena City College and pretty close to local attractions within Pasadena. It is very dated-like a step out of the 80's-with soda machines that give cans and and both the soda and snack machines only take change-no bills. Our room was... more

The Saga is a standard place for those who visit Pasadena often. The rooms are very pleasantly decorated, with a bit of a homey atmosphere - old books, historic pictures of Pasadena, particularly Rose Bowl parade memorabilia. The hotel itself is "historic", i.e., a bit dated, but well kept up. Rooms come with a continental breakfast and free newspaper, and... more
