Costanoa bills itself as upscale camping and there is a range of options for true campers and folks like me who want the outdoor experience without the hassle. If you really don’t want to sacrifice modern amenities (namely your own bathroom), you can stay in the lodge. If you are staying with the kids, I recommend a room on the... more

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved Costanoa. We stayed in a Premium King room in the Lodge. The room was nice and cozy. We loved the large tub w/a sliding door so we could open it and watch the fire. The food at the Cascade Bar and grill was phenomenal and you can bring your own wine. Make sure to... more

Located on the California coast between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz, Costanoa is a comfortable semi-camping facility. You can take a beautiful hike in the hills and enjoying gorgeous views of the coastline; or you can take an easy walk down to the shore and watch the surf. We stayed in a comfortable tent cabin with heated mattress pad.... more

This is a great place if you like to camp and have little ones. The campsites are all set up and are great. It is really chilly and you will need lots of blankets to sleep. There is too much to see and do which is great if you have children. You can also just enjoy what is right there... more

When my BF described the tent cabins, he used the name, Martha Stewart, knowing that I would approve hearing that. I did approve. This place is lovely. The tent cabin was private and comfortable. It had a heated mattress pad to keep us warm. We used the hot tub and were lucky enough to have it to ourselves. We had... more

Expensive for what it is… We spent one night at the Costanoa Lodge in the mid-week. For what we paid, I can’t say I was very impressed. We stayed in a Lodge Double and got a discounted rate of about US$185.00 (published rate was $235). Even for the discounted price we paid, the stay was disappointing. The front desk staff... more

We spent one night at Costanoa in one of their canvas tents in the Outer Pine village. We loved it. This place is perfect if you want to feel at peace. I'm not sure why there are so many mixed reviews. We found it to be quite tranquil and everything there was very organic and they seem to really have... more

OK....I have read the reviews and yes, it is expensive for what you get. But it is a delightful place. We spent the first night in a Premier Lodge room and the second night in a standard King Lodge room. The Premier room had a nice soaking tub but for the money the standard room was great. Also we went... more

Deceitful website, deceitful site. Looks lovely online - back to nature, green, organic... After asking for an 'ocean view' campsite for tents we arrived to receive an 'upgrade' to the RV plots - a few hundred feet from Highway 1. After a night of generators, 5 liter trucks passing inches away, and general noise among the RVs packed like sardines... more

We stayed at the lodge. It cost $269.00. They said that we could use the spa as part of the room cost. The locked gate is broken and has been for a year.Quite dangerous. We booked the nicest room they had. There was no elevator. We called to ask for a couple of pillows and when they answered the voice mail that... more
