FJH B&B is a working miniature horse ranch and offers its visitors a truly unique B&B experience. We stayed in the Woodshed Room in the Bunkhouse. Warning --the bathroom is only separtated from the bedroom by a curtain in this room only. Also, horses do smell--something I am used to having lived near horses for 18 years. Our room was very clean, had a super comfortable queen size bed, nice fluffy robes were provided and a large deck with rocking chairs off the back overloooking the horse paddock and nearby tree covered hillside. A great place to start the day listening to bird calls with a fresh strong cup of Peets coffee. Watching Ned the baby mini-horse wake up, stretch his legs and frolick is possibly the cutest thing you will ever see. Also a great place to end the day, watching the sunset and the small, agile local bats dive for insects--very cool! Later at night the deck was the perfect place for star gazing too!
