A significantly updated traditional motel both externally and internally. The room was spacious, with new furniture, AC and a firm matress. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room rate was moderate. A convenient locaton off highway 50 between Lake Tahoe and Sacramento. Good value. more

Pros: QUIETER than most of the other Placerville places. Room smelled good. Everything worked. Cons: as with all the places in Placerville, the price of the room was about double the actual value. *Unlike* most of the other places, no Internet was provided. Finally, this one was not especially clean. more

Unfortunately, there are not many choices for accommodations in Placerville, CA. It you are heading east on Route 50 towards Lake Tahoe and it is getting late....then you are stuck. Route 50 is a BEAR of a twisting and winding road, best left for a fresh start and daylight. We have stayed in worse places and many far better, but... more

All the reviews are true and more. This place is horrible it should be closed down. Room's smelled so bad, no emnities, towels are so old, overall this place is the worst MOTEL in the world you really can't get worst than this place is. Staying here was really bad if only for 1 night. Mrg's/owners do not belong in... more

Management response from
Lee Patel, manager

We have been managing this motel since March 2006 and the motel is also under new ownership. All of the complaints prior to our taking over have been corrected. We have remodeled all of our bathroom with brand new sinks, granite counter tops and new tile floors. We have replaced 75% of the windows with new double pane windows. We have...

Never again.

Stayed here 3 times in 2005 because it was less expensive than other places in area and it was centrally located. First stay was nothing fancy, but ok. Succeeding stays were all downhill from there even though I told manager I have new grandchild in area and plan to come to Placerville monthly and would need a motel each time.... more

Someone should tell the new owners they are in the "Hospitality" industry... there was NOTHING hospitable about them.. I have never in my 35 years of staying in hotels, for business or pleasure, been treated so badly. They were rude, and invasive, calling the room every 30 minutes without cause.. When I unplugged the phone they just knocked on the... more

There has been an unforunate decline in this motel. It used to be family owned with a nice older couple that ran the place. It apparently was bought and is now run by a Middle Eastern man and his family. The new owner/manager obviously has some different cultural ideas than the clientele he is serving. Our group experienced numerous reservation... more

I chose this hotel because it was near the nursing home where my dad is - altho I had held the room with a credit card, the manager complained about my late evening checkin - after registering and driving around the hotel twice to try and find my room and/or a parking spot, finally parked in one of two spots... more

Between the manager giving a elder woman a very bad time in the parking lot about where she can park and having to intervene after the lady was crying and tell the manager to back off. Having the manager tell me to park my motorcycle in a no parking spot next to a handicap spot so anyone trying to get... more
