I stayed here with my husband and 5 year old over the 4th of July holiday. I normally stay at Marriott brand hotels (or Hilton brands) when staying for business or leisure. Once you find this hotel, it has everything you might need in the WC/Concord area ... the trick is finding it. The address is 700 Ellinwood Way, but coming in at night, you turn on to Ellinwood Way from Contra Costa Blvd, then it dead ends, and there is an (unlit) sign with an arrow to the left ... and... more

The Residence Inn at Pleasant Hill was a nice cozy place with the standard Studio apartment amenities. I enjoyed the room set up with the sofa facing perpendicular to the bed so you had definite separation of "sleep area" and "living area". Visitors please note... the rooms at the east side of this hotel range 30 to 50 feet from the southbound lanes of the 680 freeway. Doubt this comment? type the address into google earth. There is no sound wall or any obstruction other than chain link fence between the hotel and the freeway. Having a room that faces this side... more
