We booked this hotel before starting a 4-day-trip with no clear destinations in occasion of our anniversary. After visiting Sacramento (Gold Rush Days in September), we arrived at Pollock Pines, a very small town in this gorgeous forest , west of Tahoe. I have to admit I was skeptical of a place like this off the main highway in a small town such as Pollock Pines CA. I travel past the area many times a year and never knew the place what there. I took the kids up for a weekend of fun in the snow, but did not want to pay... more

Stagecoach Inn is a convenient lodging choice for those who want to ski at Sierra. It was well-run, very clean, updated, and detailed. Needing a place in Tahoe at the last minute on a busy holiday weekend I was out of luck so had to settle for Pollock Pines. Found the hotel easily, checked in easily. Lots of free parking and a great view. Pollock Pines is a very small town on the way to Tahoe, so expect small town charm...but at city... more

Pollock Pines is a small town west of Tahoe and East of Sacramento. Although, some may think that Pony Express Trail is an ugly street, I will have to disagree. Although, there are some "trashy" looking houses, the community is GREAT. The staff at the stagecoach in are wonderfull. I have never had a problem there. The rooms are clean... more
