We thoroughly enjoy Rancho Mirage and Palm Desert. We were there last August, 2007 and had stayed at Rancho las Palmas.However, the rates were exhorbitant there so we decided to try the Country inn . I booked a room (suite) for my wife and myself as SCE was scheduled to have electricity off in our area for repairs and the local temp was in the hundreds. The only thing good about this hotel is the fact that it is close to "Restaurant Row" in Rancho Mirage. Otherwise, it is not a "suite" experience at all. In fact, there is not even a door to the adjoining room! The exercise machines were not working (OK, 1 of the 4 was -- the treadmill, but it was old).... more

Its not horrible. The staff was actually very helpful and friendly. The rooms were decent size and clean. After all, this is not a 5 star. We had a problem with noise.
