I booked this hotel because so many travellers recommended it. But I was a bit disapointed after living in it. The A/C was so noisy that my wife did not have a good sleep. The service was good, the pool is OK, and the cost was cheap. So the value was OK. more

Years ago we stayed at the Lamplighter and enjoyed it. But it has really gone downhill. Although they are renovating, our room was pretty bad. There was mold in the soap dish. I've stayed at most of the bargain motels in Red Bluff over the past few years and I like this one the best. Everything in my room worked and seemed clean. This is a relative bargain for hotels in Red Bluff. The New Owners are upgrading the place, and it's been fine. Swiming pool and restaurant next door were good for breakfast and dip on a hot day. Good room for the price, recommended more
