I just cannot believe that some presidents of the United States stayed in this dim hotel. Their service is awful and the workers were not trained at all. I very impressed with the Mission Inn. I came here with my mom and sister for a spa weekend. The hotel is old, but that added to it's charm. Our room was a suite and it was a good size. Pros: Completely Unique! Incredible architecture! Truly amazing property. If you have the time, you can take the tour for a fee, but we just enjoyed roaming on our own. My husband found a great deal on-line which also provided certificates for use in the hotel. We loved our room on the third floor balcony overlooking the pool area. I saw some spotty reviews on here which gave me pause. But I went boldly forward. I'm VERY glad I did. No noise issue: My wife and I stayed on the "Spanish Courtyard" which I heard (from other comments here) may be noisy. Perhaps that would be true if there was a wedding reception or other party (I don't know).... more

We were checked into a room that was already occupied and had to go back to the front desk to get another room. The hotel is old, dark and musty smelling. The layout of the hotel is very confusing. One can get lost very easily going from one place to another. We stayed in a very nosy and dirty room... more

The Mission Inn is a beautiful and unique hotel that started in the 1800's. It is located in downtown Riverside close to the convention center.
