I made a reservation a week in advance and then traveled 400 miles to arrive and find out that they did not have a room for me. They could have call my home or my cell to let me know, so that i could have made other arrangements. The rude women at the front desk informed me that the hotel... more

I had driven down from Redding, CA for a one night stay before flying out of Sacramento at 6 a.m. Neighborhood was okay. Received a room with an exterior corridor around the pool - had a run down Melrose Place feel. Not the best room type for a single woman traveling alone. Loud exterior noise on the street and outside... more

First of all, they lost my reservation - the desk clerk was not helpful, but did finally give me a room, which had stained carpet, chair and bedspread. The TV remote wouldn't work, and the door wouldn't lock. There were noisy guests in the middle of the night, but I couldn't get a response from the desk to take care... more

I needed a hotel that was reasonable and close to a 2-day seminar I was attending at the Sheraton Grand. The Clarion was within 6 blocks - a very doable walk! The clerk at check-in was very nice and they gave me a welcome package with some samples inside (shampoo, gum, etc.) The room was adequate with a large king... more

Absolutely not worth the price. The lobby is pleasant and gives you hope, but once inside the rooms the "ambience" changes drastically. Room is small and cramped. Very musty odor. Carpet was not vaccuumed well and fabric bench seat badly stained. Needs paint and updating. Had to slam door to get it to shut. Full-size beds only for two-bed rooms... more

The manager was kind of a jerk when we asked if it was possible for an early check-in. Other than that, the staff was nice. I was surprised at how quiet the place was after reading other reviews on TripAdvisor. The bed was really great, so I told the front desk when I checked out. They told me that it... more

After reading some of the less recent reviews, I felt a little uneasy about this hotel. If I had paid full price, I would not be happy, but I got a deal, and probably got what I paid for, This hotel is in downtown Sacramento, which itself can seem a little shady at night. I thought of Nancy Reagan refusing... more

Uneventful is the best way to describe this place, which a good thing for a business traveler. The room may not have fancy fixtures or expensive furniture like other more expensive places, but what it has works fine and the room's clean. The central AC blower turns on and off on high speed which may be a nuisance to some.... more

I too read the some of the previous reviews and was a little worried about my stay, but I was blown away with how eager the staff was to please.
