I went to Sacramento for an academic conference. When I arrived, I found two other Korean scholars going to the same conference were trying to check in. I heard that they were requesting change of names on the reservation (probably for the reimbursement reasons, I guess). Although I was helped within no seconds and I experienced a very smooth check-in,... more

The not-so-good: The hotel is older, not really deluxe or frill-bedecked. But you knew that from the name. The good: The manager was soooo nice. He gave directions to the courthouse, he suggested restaurants within walking distance, he was pleasant and accommodating, let us check out late, genuinely wished us well. The internet service was great too, the rooms were... more

After reading some of the negatively-oriented reviews, I was not expecting very much. However, I was pleasantly surprised in just about every aspect of my stay here. Facilities were clean and the carpet looked pretty new. Check-in person was very pleasant and helpful. I was on the third floor and it was quiet. One negative could be the grounds are... more

This is a marginal and run-down 70's, very tired property desperately in need of renovation. Continental breakfast was very minimal - but a Starbucks is luckily within walking distance. There is internet - friendly staff, clean rooms, but you get less than what you pay for. more

Obviously a bit shabby. But for $69 a night during the California bar exam it can't be beat. Service was excelent, room was quiet and reasonably clean, and locatin was perfect (4 blocks from concention center where the exam was administered). The management allowed me to check in early and check in late. They also let me keep my luggage... more

This motel is much better than it was a few years ago. I stayed at this hotel back in 2006, and the service was rather poor, the front desk staff was not too friendly, and the rooms were a bit shabby. I didn't intend to return, but when my hotel was overbooked they referred me to the Econo Lodge. Since... more

In the 45 minutes I stayed at this hotel I was bitten by fleas while I was in the lobby, and locked in the bathroom of my room because there was no doorhandle on the inside of the bathroom. I had to yell at a homeless guy down on the street to ask him to go into the office and... more

This place is no palace, but if you're looking to economize and don't mind slightly shabby, it works well. I agree with opther reviewers that the front desk should work on their social skills and the rooms near the front of the hotel are noisy, but otherwise the place was comfortable and reasonably clean. more

We were in town for a graduation. We arrived at 4:00 and left for the graduation at 4:15. We returned back to the hotel around 11 and left the next morning by 10. This is the only type of stay that I would recommend this hotel for. When we walked into the office to check-in, the smell almost knocked us... more

I stayed awhile ago, but I'm not sure if much has changed. You get what you pay for. Gross rooms, tacky carpet, roach style. more
