I don't often write reviews but need to alert you to what can happen at this place. I'll start by noting that we will absolutely never stay there again. We checked in on a Saturday evening, hot and tired and looking forward to a swim. At the pool, we encountered a group of adults, about 14, who had three tequila... more
I liked this Fairfield Inn, and was pretty impressed. The other posts mention the loud highway and train noise, and this is an issue. I stayed on the train side of the hotel, and did not think the trains were overly loud. The breakfast was nice, with a waffle maker, cereal, and breakfast sandwiches. The area has a Dennys, Del... more
On more than ten visits over 3 years we always receive top notch service at a very reasonable price. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. A welcome continental breakfast includes a wide selection of fresh choices. Walking distance to full breakfast cafe. We find the rooms quiet without any notice of nearby freeway and train tracks. It one of... more
Like most Fairfield hotels this is a cheery and uplifting looking property. Using light bright colors Marriott does a good job in making all rooms look inviting. The spacious two story lobby is particularly well designed. An unusually friendly and efficient person at the check-in desk took care of us in no time. Guest rooms are somewhat larger than what... more
Neat and tidy. Excellent, smiling and sincere service. Great value for the money. Paid $89/night compared to $169/night at the Modesto Courtyard. Rooms well kept and clean. However, I was on the west side of the building. I could hear some auto traffic, but the sound and vibration from passing trains were bothersome. The hotel is sandwiched between Highway 99... more
Stayed here while visiting my sister over the holidays and had a great stay! The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Breakfast was great with lots of seating and good selection. We stayed in a room that faced the freeway, but noise was still at a minimum. Hotel and decor was newer and upscale, very pleasant. All in all our... more
Stopped for a one night stay enroute to the San Francisco Bay Area. I have experienced mixed quality at a few Farifield Inns, so was hesitant to book this Fairfield out in California's agricultural hinterlands (among those "Happy cows" -as in those California cheese commericals). But, wow, what a find! This Fairfield franchise has large well-decorated, clean comfortable rooms. Public... more
I just returned from spending four nights at this hotel. I was very happy to find it extremely clean and quiet, despite its proximity to Highway 99 and some fast-food restaurants. There was a security camera monitoring the entrance, and the doors are locked after 10 pm; all rooms are interior. As a female traveling with three small children I... more
