They ran out of shampoo, so 3 people got 1 tiny bottle for 2 days. The first night we were kept up until almost 4:00am by partyers in the next room. It appears to be a residential hotel as well, so don't be surprised if the strange residents stare at you from the upstairs walkways while you use the pool/spa... more

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel before. The staff was very helpful with my elderly parents, the breakfast was nice and we were very comfortable. Two queen beds were perfect for us, the shower had great pressure, and it was pretty quiet, considering how close the hotel is located near the 101. The location is very convenient... more

The hotel was adequate. Rooms were small but attractive and very clean. The so called Quick Start Breakfast was overbilled, Other hotels offering continental breakfasts will usually offer fruit and cold cereal and oatmeal packets along with pastries, juice and coffee. My main concern was with the various signs about what not to touch or open etc. and each ended... more

Salinas is not a pretty town, but it is close to Monterey - and that's what really matters. We have spent 2 nights here, and it was decent - a good clean room, relatively quiet, plenty of parking, and a great price. A few suggestions to the management: a. The price of calls from the rooms is too high -... more

I had a bad experience booking this hotel for a major event. I booked through an online service 8 months in advance. When it came time to prepare for my trip, I found that the service never locked in my room and I didn't have one. The manager, Mr. Francisco Alejo, stepped in and while faced with a stern customer... more

The Good Nite Inn Salinas is in a very good location, near the highway (101), yet far enough away from the highway that traffic noise was no problem. The beds were comfortable and clean, as was the room itself. Realize that you are staying in an economy establishment - no premium (TV) channels, no coffe maker, fridge or microwave in... more

On our way to San Francisco, we wanted to spend a night in Carmel. But rooms were unavailable. So we decided to stay in Salinas, about 20 minutes inland. We found Good Nite Inn by searching a travel site. It was a mistake. We should have checked TripAdvisor first! The room was non-smoking. But it smelled like an ash tray.... more

While this was very inexpensive, we had still expected the hotel to be somewhat nicer based on the reviews we had read. The room was adequate and clean enough, but the spreads on the beds has burn holes in them and were quite off-putting. The tub in the bathroom did not drain at all. There was a too-bright nightlight in... more

I recently stayed at the Good Nite Inn in Salinas in order to break up a drive to Southern California.
