This hotel is nicely situated in a quiet, out of the way area adjacent to a marina and some restaurants. it is an excellent choice for those who need to be close to the oakland airport (about a 5 to 7 minute drive), but want a quieter, more aesthetic environment. My wife and I spent the last night of our most recent trip to California at the San Leandro Marina Inn. We had a 9:00 am flight back home from the Oakland airport and we were looking for someplace a little nicer than your average airport hotel but still close to the airport. I first spent a night here before attending a workshop in the area. The hotel is very clean. Lobby is lovely. However, I was given a room having some kind of 'generator' noise on the opposite side of my wall. A weekend stay enjoyed - the hotel is highly recommended as a get-away. Notable for its comfortable nearbybut-away-from-it-all situation in the East Bay near Oakland airport. The Marina Inn is a breath of fresh air. The rooms off the marina make you really feel like you're on vacation. For a great meal try the steakhouse next door. The food is Fab. more

Stayed at the Marina Inn last March (04'). The hotel is in a decent location, however, the rooms are showing their age. Beds were average and the room had a musty moldy smell to it. Major plumbing problems at our home left us with no water and we checked into the San Leandro Marina Inn for the showers...and what a fabulous shower with plenty of hot water, great pressure and wonderful fluffy towels! And the room was very nice too. more
