We're tourists from Australia traveling LA to SF. We stayed in the rooms 'across the road' at the back of the hotel - in a family suite. 1xK, 2xQ in two rooms, and 2x large TV's. The room was on the small side, but every standard item (fridge, microwave, tv, coffee maker...) was there, and the bathroom was spotless. Nothing special besides that - just another budget hotel. more

SLO town was pretty booked, I don't care for motels with room doors opening to outside walkways, but I was just staying one night and didn't want to pay more than $100 and this place was it. In a town with overpriced hotels, this turned out to be one of the more reasonable. The room was adequate, but small with oversized furniture. Outdoor pool was convenient, but cold! Free breakfast buffet -- expanded continental. Convenient location to downtown. more

As other reviewers have stated there are 3 parts to this hotel, the newer building around the pool, another portion connected to the main portion (with an exterior corridor) and the annex building across the street. A nice 3 night stay while attending a class at Calpoly. Very close to campus but still requires a car to get there and the main part of downtown is 5 blocks down. The motel is clean and quiet the week I was there. Breakfast was adequate with waffles the surprise item. I liked how the maids left you alone... more

I had booked a bargain-price ($149) queen-only room online because we don't really spend much time in the room anyway.
