Stayed here before (reviewed March 5, 2008) and this time the place looked better. The area around the motel has been landscaped and we had an enjoyable 2 night stay. The room was clean, loads of hot water, laundry, near highway, near diner. The lady on the reception was very friendly and helpful suggesting that we just buy one 24... more

My elderly parents invited me along with them on a trip to the California coast this past summer (in July). Mom didn't want to pay the extra fees for the Motel 6 in Morro Bay CA where we usually stay so she tried the Motel 6 in San Luis Obispo which was slightly cheaper. Mom made reservations for two nights... more

This was the worst stay. We stayed there for a soccer tournement with my 10 year old son. At 10:30pm other guests were drinking and screaming at each other outside. It took the police coming twice to stop it. The rooms loud and the two outlets did not work. more

We arrived late at night with two small, sleepy children and were assigned to room #126. All seemed well at first but it was cold outside and I needed to turn on the heater: disaster. While the room has been refurbished and assigned "no smoking" status, evidently no one thought to replace the heater-blower unit. When I turned it on... more

We stay in plenty of Motel 6 properties and this one was fine. The location is good, very safe, convenient to the freeway and close to Margie's Diner which offers fantastic breakfasts. The hotel was drained so if you're planning to swim you should call first to make sure it's operating. There are two Motel 6s on the same freeway... more

Stayed for one night while visiting San Luis Obsipo, for which it is convenient - provided you have a car of course. Felt safe in the hotel environs, with other hotels and so on around it. Front desk attendant not friendly but not unpleasant. Room very basic, with towels and soap the only gimmicks. Was fairly cold but decent heater/cooler... more

O.K., at the risk of sounding like a snob...I just can't stay in a place this bare bones again. We were booked for 3 nights but after 1 night we had to check out. Our original thought was...well, we'll only be there to sleep...still it wasn't good. Everything was so sparse and blah. The blankets were so old and creepy... more

Yes, Motel 6s can be sparse but you get what you pay for. We stayed at ths location because they allow pets, and we'd been to other local hotels that allow dogs and were not impressed with the other places. We had previously stayed at the Motel 6 North (around the corner), and this one is quieter and recently renovated.... more

Well, it's a motel 6. But, as far as they go, this one has nicer grounds than most with trees all around and a pool in the middle. Nicer than the north one. more

Stayed here one night with my wife and our eleven year old while traveling north on the Pacific Coast Highway and we were very happy with our choice. First you cannot beat the $53 price and while I agree about the linens and towels being on the thin side it's exactly what we expected from a Motel 6. Am I... more
