Yes, Motel 6s can be sparse but you get what you pay for. We stayed at ths location because they allow pets, and we'd been to other local hotels that allow dogs and were not impressed with the other places. We had previously stayed at the Motel 6 North (around the corner), and this one is quieter and recently renovated.... more

Well, it's a motel 6. But, as far as they go, this one has nicer grounds than most with trees all around and a pool in the middle. Nicer than the north one. more

The hotel staff was friendly, the rate was low. They only had smoking rooms available but the smell was not bad. My favorite part about Motel 6 is that they take pets. This motel is located close to downtown SLO, so it is easy access to whatever you need. I stayed there while travelling, and had no problems with noise... more
