Was desperate for a night in the hillsdale area for a last minute thing. BIG MISTAKE. The 70 us dollars i paid was so so so not equivalent to what this old, dark, moldy, musty and just overall filthy room straight out of the 70's. pillows were so thin you'd think they were blankets. plus the room they assigned to... OK, I like a good hotel deal as much as anyone, but this deal was a dog. First impressions are everything and the Hillsdale Inn had that covered. Outside the entrance, a clearly inebriated biker was holding a negotiation with a "self employed" woman regarding the rate she charged for various services - "and you pay for the room, baby"... More

This is a motel w/ permanent low income residents. This is NOT a hotel for travelers. It is filthy and disgusting and more than a little scary! Thankfully the women at the front desk allowed me to cancel my reservation when I was concerned about the conditions. Don't go unless you are prepared to be exposed to the darker side... More

By far, out of the hundreds of hotels/motels that I have stayed at in my life, this one stands out as one of the worst. I booked this hotel on a third party vendor site so I didn't select it ahead of time. When got to the front door of the room, I became immediately concerned that many of the... More

I spent two weeks travelling around California and stayed in some great places, some bad places and then... this. The receptionist was unfriendly and demanded to see my ID although my friend had booked the room, then walked away with my passport. Just as I was about to ask where she'd put it, she came back and handed it to... More

This hotel is very badly managed. They are very unprofessional at the front desk, which by the way closes around 6pm. I think the front desk people hang out in the bar. I stayed for a week on business, my room was all the way in the back which was really bad. There was people yelling and partying all night... More

Whoever gave this dirty, noisy and unsafe motel the business licence should be fired from his job. The place is unsafe, noisy and at night there is noone in the office, so if you need a help for safety reasons you are on your own. The rooms are dark since you can't open their curtings for privacy reasons, so you... More

The location seemed good so I booked it. It is close to the freeway, walking distance to whole foods, starbucks, frozen yogurt, & Peet's Coffee but the hotel itself was pretty gross and a Motel 6 would have been a huge upgrade. The room was extremely dark with really old, dated, and thick carpet. It faced Hillsdale ave so I... More
