I went to the Residence Inn as part of a work trip. The inn itself looked very homey (in a good way) and all of the staff there were very helpful. There were plenty of parking spots to park the rental and the room itself was the largest I've ever been in. There was a nice couch in front of... more

+ Efficient front desk staff - truly rare these days. + Full kitchen, living area makes this a bungalow studio. + Good internet 48KB/s free, 160KB/s $10 daily/$99 monthly. + High quality beds. + Near Costco, Target and Trader Joe's. + Near highways. ~ Breakfast included, didn't try. - Housekeeping respects neither your schedule nor your privacy and will break... more

Stayed here for 1 night and since they were not busy they gave us a free upgrade to a penthouse. The light fair meal in the evening was blah. The breakfast was much better with many things to choose from. I would stay here again. :)) more

This place was pretty decent. This wasn't the typical Residence Inn stand alone building. There are indiviual buildings with several (maybe 8?) rooms in each building. The buildings are kind of jammed in on the property, there isn't a lot of open space if that's what you're looking for. I really liked my room, I think it was recently renovated.... more

My husband and I booked a "penthouse" suite for the long MLK Jr. Day weekend. "Penthouse" means there is a queen bed and bathroom in the loft area upstairs, and a living area/kitchen/bathroom downstairs. There is a gas fireplace in the living area, and a murphy bed off the living area. We would consider this for a family accomodation, but... more

I recently stayed at this hotel on business and found the hotel had a few issues but none that would prevent me from staying at it again. In an effort to keep my review short I will just simply list the plus and minus of the property. Plus: free breakfast, free light dinner, free high speed internet, free internet service... more

Over time, I have found that the Residence Inn consistently delivers the goods. This property is no different. As usual, the room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The parking is free and is close to your room. The breakfast is included, and has plenty of choices. It was a hit with my wife and 3 kids. This property is... more

I stayed for 3 nights at the San Mateo Residence Inn in March, 2007 in a "penthouse" unit while repairs were made to my San Mateo home. The standard penthouse units are all on the second floor and have a loft bedroom and bath with a second bedroom and bath on the main floor with a pull-down Murphy bed. The... more

Booked the hotel direct at a rate of $85 per night with a AAA discount. We chose this hotel because a family member lives in an adjoining neighborhood, we could walk to their house from the hotel. It was very convenient! This was my first stay at a Marriott brand Residence Inn and we were quite impressed. The hotel room... more

At $89 for a weekend rate, this seemed to be a good value in a good area. The room was clean and appeared to have been recently updated with newer carpet, the new Marriott beds/bedding, etc. The overall suite, the kitchen and the bathroom areas were spacious and quite functional. Biggest negative was that the front desk staff was either... more
