I read all the reviews and figured that everyone was probably overeacting. Or really picky....but it really is as bad as everyone says it is. For starters it was better suited for a haunted house than a hotel. No doubt one of the creepiest places I have ever been to in my life. The elevator was squeaking and went by... more

I wanted to stay here to save a few bucks and I truly wanted to see if the hotel was as bad as ALL of the reviews say it is.... and it was. I do not believe in ghost but it was very creepy at the Santa Ana Plaza. If I didn't know better, I would think this place was... more

Hopefully, this hotel will not be around much longer. The faucet on the sink barely worked, the shower was too hot, and the desk attendant was asleep when I checked out at 5:15am. You can tell it was once a nice place, but it has been poorly kept. more

Santa Ana Plaza Hotel is the only one that has a view of the Ocain and motains. It's the tallest hotel in the earea. And for the price of a motel 6 across the street! You can look down and see the Santa Ana Zoo! All the freeways at night all the lights way from the noise. You can even... more

worst day of my life - no cold water , standing in scalding hot water, brushing teeth with hot water, toilet sweating , because full of hot water, they said cold waterpump was broke- beds sag in middle - no central heat - space heater that glows orange in middle of the nite - no ice - no contiental breakfast... more

Well for starters, the hotel looks just as nasty on the inside as it does on the outside. The old Ramada Inn sign is still up (just missing a few letters). The odor of old cigarettes is enough to knock you down when you walk into a room. You know the hotel is bad when they give you a non-smoking... more

We went in the hotel and ask to see the room, they said we had to sign in first. We waited while the clerk talked to 3 "young women, giggling and laughing". We had seen the parking lot full of them as we drove in, talking to the guard. We foolishly went ahead and signed in and went up to... more

This was a complete nightmare! The rooms were filthy ( I would not let me toddler put his feet on the floor), there was mold growing in the bathroom, the bed linens were filthy and stunk (they were also full of holes and cigarette burns) and the carpet was unbelievably filthy. We did not pay what I would call a... more

I stayed here for one night. It was not as bad as the other reviews made it seem. Maybe the motel cleaned up its act. At any rate, the hotel facilities are very old ... giving it a creepy feeling. We felt like we were in "the Shining" or something. But I was reading the reviews - I didn't think... more

This hotel is horrible. I arrived at the hotel to check in, I Noticed there were around 10-15 cop cars in the parking lot. As we walked in to check in, all the cops were standing in the lobby. One cop stopped us on the way in only to tell us there was no way we could check in, there... more
