We celebrated my birthday by heading up to Santa Barbara for the weekend. My spouse had stayed at the Montecito Inn a couple of years ago while there on business. We so enjoyed this quaint hotel which is conveniently located to just about everything in the Santa Barbara area. The staff are great and very helpful! Our room included the... More

This old hotel with its rickety elevator and Charlie Chaplin décor exudes charm. We took advantage of off season rates and stayed in a suite. The suite was apparently created from two small rooms, as it had an entrance and a bathroom at either end. It’s a real treat not to have to share a hotel bathroom, but it was... More

Montecito Inn is a lovely small hotel at the main corner of Montecito which is adjacent to Santa Barbara. It is a reasonably priced hotel in a very expensive city. While the rooms are not large or resort-like, they are perfectly adequate. For those who have rooms in the back be prepared to hear the highway, but we find that... More

Our stay at the rustic Monticito inn was a huge dissappointment. We were in room #310, which is in the back of the hotel. It was way to noisey (101 freeway), in need of a remodel, and just basic maintenance. It was obvious the bathroom window had been repaired, as there were screws sticking out every direction, but it was... More

I stayed here because I was recommended by a friend who stayed. I thought it was be a nice place and love Charlie Chaplin so I liked that connection. My room was cute and spacious and had a beautiful view of the mountains. You could walk to many places and it was not far from the beach. I would stay... More

Great place to stay with great value. A bit of noise, but hey, the price is right and rooms perfectly acceptable. More

The Montecito Inn was a very pleasant surprise. It is a small hotel located in upscale Montecito just south of Santa Barbara. The hotel is very old (built in 1928). As with any old hotel, it shows its age. I rented the Queen Mountain View room, which is a little bit bigger and has more windows than the regular queen... More

I've stayed here 4 times to visit my daughter at Westmont College. It's a great location but...it's right off the freeway and by a busy intersection. You either stay on the side of the hotel with traffic or on the other side where there is a loud restaurant. Overall it's a good value and it's a charming little hotel. More

The Montecito Inn looks a bit like an old time roadside motel. It actually is a unique, Mediterranean style Inn built by Charlie Chaplin to accommodate his guests back in the day. The rooms are small but sufficient. The overall ambience is friendly and comfortable. There were many returning guests, always a good sign. The service is very friendly and... More

I have to say I was very impressed by this charming hotel. The room we stayed in was a little on the small side, but we wernt going to be spending much time there but to sleep. Old charming feel, but very clean. Staff was very nice too even though we arrived at midnight. The location is ideal. It is... More
