Our cottage was tastefully appointed with decor that was contemporary and yet reminded us of deepest Provence. Everything was fresh and immaculate, and kept that way with daily maid service. Our romantic private mini-garden was a wonderful secluded place to read and relax. The fact that the beautiful 100 year old house and lush grounds are off the well-beated Santa... More

Breakfast was exquisite like one might find in a high-quality French restaurant. The daily wine and cheese reception at 5:00 PM was excellent. Located in a very private and beautiful setting in a quiet area in the center of town. Rooms are immaculate and the service fastidious. I really enjoyed staying there and looking forward to returning! More

Excellent breakfasts in a lovely location. Very nice spread with wine, cheese, dips and breads before dinner. At night, one may help themselves to hot cider, homemade brownies and tea. Charming rooms, in a continental style. Would highly recommend. More

Our stay was perfect - comfortable cottage (Oriole... with hot tub), delicious breakfasts, brownies and tea in the evening, pretty gardens... and very friendly, helpful staff. We will absolutely be back! The cottages are smallish - we might choose a bigger one upon our return. But we had absolutely no complaints. Santa Barbara is not a cheap town -- if... More

If you tired of faceless boring hotels and hotel food, if you like something different, this place is for you. This bed and breakfast is very cute. The home made food is fresh and delicious. The owner is nice and charming. The place is not cheap but it worse the money. More

It was quaint, cozy, comfy and quiet. The private hot tub just steps outside your french doors on your room is enclosed in a patio. The tub worked great. Comfy bed. Pretty bathroom with claw foot tub. The main house smelled like brownies baking upon our check in. Breakfast is included and it was delicious. Homemade food and jams. Garden... More

We loved our week at the Secret Garden. We rented the Yellow House and it was perfect. Although we were on vacation, we felt like we were home. We stayed a week while preparing for our son's wedding and our location was blocks from wedding, convenient to other events, shopping etc. We were able to finish up last minute details... More

Very relaxing, honest, local, rejuvenating, simple. Like others, I love the fact that we were in our own separate little cottage with one neighbor, and that others are all similarly enjoying the delicate balance. Each cottage/room has its own charm and specialty, for example in the garden room we stayed in, a huge private garden (natural, unpretentious) and nice ceiling... More

It was pricey, but worth it for the charm and amenities at this fun bed and breakfast in Santa Barbara. In a nice neighborhood near State St., we enjoyed the private hot tub, comfortable bed and homey breakfast. We would consider a return in the future. More
