A very good place to stay in Santa Barbara. It is a couple of miles up the road on State Street from the main shopping area. The rooms are clean and the breakfast was fine. For a couple of nights you can not beat this place. more

its the little things internet and free printing all the toiletries for free (toothbrush, deodorant, shaving cream, good shampoo) complimentary bottles of water as many as you want simple but good selection of free breakfast nice young people that are eager to help at front desk. not the best, but best for price. more

The Sandman is great - only stayed one ngiht, but the staff were very friendly, the room was fantastic - very clean, modern and extremely comfortable - the pools are lovely, the view of the mountains is amazing, the breakfast was great. Very close to downtown Santa BArbara. I highly recommend it - very comfortable place if exploring nearby areas. more

The lobby staff seems to be made up of many students from UCSB who have found a great place to study. The shower water would swing from blistering to freezing continuously. The electric lock would cancel itself and I had to walk to the lobby six times in five days to get new keys. more
