The Franciscan Inn is Bath Street just off the beaten path. Easily within walking distance to State Street and Marina restaurants. This is an older hotel but nicely upgraded. We were in Santa Barbara for a small family gathering, and the Franciscan was a good choice to stay. Not everyone had a car, so having a pool, the beach and all its attractions, along with State Street nearby was a real plus. Also close to the train station. For the price the hotel was well worth the money. Location is great...one block from beach. Close to State Street. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice continental breakfast. It's not your typical "hotel" as it is an old motel (two stories, park in front of your room) but it is very clean and "for the price" a really good deal.... More

My husband and I were visiting our daughter in SB and stayed the week in this Inn. It is a lovely, cozy place but the single bedroom we had was a bit small for a longer stay.
