An Amazing Honeymoon
Very Good Resort, with great environemnt. more
I stayed for two nights and they were uneventful enough for me. A nice room with balcony overlooking a park and a beautiful beach. The bathroom (i.e. tub) may be due for a make over in a year or two but over all the room was fine. The hotel is big and very much spread out among several buildings. Try... more
We stayed at the Fess Parker Santa Barbara Resort for our wedding in March 2007, even though the actual wedding was held off-site. I am from the area, even though we live in DC now. I had eaten there a few times so I thought it might be a good place. First of all, I had to call over ten... more
Fabulous!! This is the only way to describe our stay at this resort. This resort offers everything you could need for a great vacation. Great location, your right across the street from the beach, only a short walk to the wharf and State St (loads of great shopping) this city offers many great options for dining. The cities wonderful Mission... more
Stayed over Easter holiday. Overall the amenities of the resort were nice. Also felt the staff was very accomodating. However, room was very "smoky" although we asked for non-smoking. Also paid for a "resort view" which turned out to be a retaining wall. Felt more like a 3 rather than 5 star resort. more
We just returned from a three night stay at the Fess Parker Doubletree Resort in Santa Barbara. It was absolutely magnificent. They were very hospitable. The rooms were very clean, spacious, beautiful. Wonderful ocean view. It was very quiet at night. We were only 60 feet from the ocean, and awoke to a beautiful view of the palm tree lined... more
AMTRAK....if you like the sound of trains, this is the place for you. We decided to spend Easter here; mistake. The noise from the train, guests upstairs and elevator were unbelievable. Don't visit during a holdiay. The hotel was not expecting as many guests for Easter and were not prepared at all. The restaurant was closed and the bar was... more
We used my husband's Hilton Honors points to stay here, and I am sorry we only had one night in whcih to enjoy this quite lovely and elegant hotel. We had no idea it would be so nice. It is directly opposite a fine stretch of sandy beach, so the view was lovely. The hotel itself is very nicely laid... more
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree. The reviews before us are fairly accurate, however, we thought the food in the lobby/cafe was above average. We felt the Management did a poor job at staffing their people to the amount of hotel guests that were there. Many of the waitresses complained to us that they were being rushed and... more
I can't even believe all of the positive reviews for this horrible Hotel. I have stayed here about 6 times and have never been impressed, but this time was by far my worst stay... The hotel is large but devoid of all character. They charge high prices (over $300) for premium view rooms yet have now converted their heat/air system... more
