I stayed at this hotel recently with a friend about halfway into July. We came into town to visit with family who recommended the Harbor View Inn for its location etc. What we found upon first entering the lobby was a rude woman who didn't bother giving us eye contact until I cleared my throat right in front of her.... more

Our family, including 3 children stayed one night here on our way up the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel property and our room was beautiful. The room was large enough to accomodate a rollaway bed and the kids were very impressed with everything. We strolled along the wharf and would definitely return. more

The front desk was not rude, but they were short and unacommodating when asked them to upgrade to a better view room. Advised they'd help upon arrival since we had 3 special occasions (birthday, anniversary and father's day) instead, wanted to charge $100 more for an upgrade. Already paid a lot. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in whilst in California. The room was huge (we upgraded to an ocean view), great balcony, nice area by the pool, amazing view, free parking. We stayed at the Harbor View Inn for 2 days earlier this month. We were in Santa Barbara for a wedding but unfortunately due to the fires the wedding moved to Santa Monica and we moved with it.
