We visit the Santa Clara area about three times a year, and this is the first time we stayed at this Marriott. We spent three days and two very long nights there for a convention in June. During the days and evenings, we were occupied in our meetings. The hotel itself is nicely situated. Its conference rooms, foyer, and restrooms... more

The hotel is nice, the rooms are a bit small but okay. What is not okay is the strong odor of mold that hits you when you enter the room. I went downstairs and we were able to switch rooms. The second room smelled too, but it was less intense and since the hotel was fully booked, we had no... more

I'm fortunate enough to travel to the Bay Area on business a lot and have worked my way through a number of the hotels in the area. This was my first trip to the Santa Clara Marriott. I do stay in this chain a lot as my company has a corporate rate with them. My room was in the Courtyard... more

The hotel is very conveniently placed for business meetings. It was so cold outside, we couldn't wait to get back to the peace and tranquility of the hotel. Room Service was something they could improve on. The pool is good and big Overall I would say this is probably one of the the best business hotel I have stayed in... more

I won't mince words about these dirty birds. Here are the highs and mostly lows about this property. THE GOOD A) An online conceirge which allows for your requests as you check in. B) Very sincere, helpful bellhops. C) Front Desk allowed us to check in early. THE BAD A) Front Desk Sam the Supervisor checking us in to a... more

This hotel is central to important sites in the area. The problem with this hotel is your room captures the noise from the pool area. If there is something going on down there you get an echo from all the sounds. Plus the rooms are paper thin and you can hear the conversations of those next to you! I'm not... more

I stayed at this hotel on 3 separate occasions within the last year, twice for business conventions and another with my family to go to Great America Theme Park. I have enjoyed each stay. The food is fantastic at both restaurants within the hotel (although I only had the breakfast buffet at their 'main restaurant' - but it was still... more

I've stayed at this Marriott 5 times within the last 3 months for business. There really aren't any great hotels in the area so I've settled for the Marriott so far. The location is convenient but the hotel isn't anything special. The rooms are nicely decorated but basic. The bathrooms are very small. They offer wi-fi for $10/day. There is... more

Ok for business stays. Rather expensive, and still almost nothing is complimentary, even wifi costs $10 extra per day (one day "trial" is free though). There are some cheaper eateries across the street for those so inclined. There is nothing of any sightseeing interest within walking distance. There is no fridge or mini-bar in the room. more

Rather nice hotel with large rooms. During my first stay there I was in the largest hotel room I've ever seen, although I'm used to tiny European hotel rooms. Try to get a room in the tower for some great views, especially over the theme park which has fireworks on the weekends. Extremely comfortable beds and very friendly staff. The... more
